Important Dates to Remember
Mandatory Meetings
Fall Orientation Meeting for Both Parents (annually on the second Sunday in August)
Sunday, August 10, 2025, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
First Baptist Church Opelika, Upstairs Student Suite in the Office Building
Midyear Progress Meeting for Teaching Parent (annually on the third Thursday in January)
Thursday, January 15, 2026, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
First Baptist Church Opelika, Room TBA
Planning Conferences will be scheduled with the Administrator (K-8) and/or Principal (high school) during the months of January through April for each member family.
Deadlines
Bimonthly Reports are due on the first day of every other month with a 10-day grace period built in to submit the report online:
- July/August Bimonthly Report — by September 10
- September/October Bimonthly Report — by November 10
- November/December Bimonthly Report — by January 10
- January/February Bimonthly Report — by March 10
- March/April Bimonthly Report — by May 10
Year-End Reports must be submitted online by June 10 unless an exception is granted by the FBOCS Administrator or Principal:
- May/June Bimonthly Report (if needed) — by June 10
- K-8 Report Card — by June 10
- High School Course Documentation — by June 10
- Annual Attendance Record — by June 10
Registration Materials are due by June 30 with late fees applying after that:
- Annual Enrollment Application — submit online by June 30
- Signed Handbook Verification — submit signed paper form by June 30
- Church School Enrollment Forms for new students — submit signed paper forms by June 30
- Tuition and Fees — pay by June 30
New School Year Requirements must be met to begin the year in good standing:
- HSLDA membership or renewal — verify by July 15
- Course of Study forms — submit online no later than July 15
